Let’s take a look back at the Tour de France, the Fastnet, the Tranquadra, the Transgascogne and the Solitaire du Figaro.

Tour de France

The start of the Tour de France à la Voile 2011, the 24th of June, marked the beginning of the summer. The Tour’s 34 stages, during which the M34 was in the spotlight, gave to the experimented navigators a real challenge to meet. Everything was possible during this first handling of the boat in racing conditions. Very early, in the first stages, the race was hotly contested: 10 crews manage to win at least one stage. But quickly, Daniel Souben’s crew takes the lead of the race.

Thanks to your ADRENA software, you can make several parameters vary (boat’s speed, wind’s speed, wind’s direction…) in order to get a clear photography of the possible routes.

What is a datagram ?

Datagram is a prediction. Unlike the routing, which is a route prediction, in datagrams the route is set and gives the direct line between two points (boat, WP, route WP). We are going to focus on the data evolution along this direct route. We will get the following data evolution prediction: TWD, TWA, TWS, Currents, Sailect, Water level, transit time, travel time.
